Avagrado, born June 9th, in Turin, Italy began his life not as a chemist but as a lawyer. Later he began taking private lessons in the fields of mathematics and physics. He became the Professor of Natural Philosophy at the College of Vercelli shortly after. He obtained the position of Mathematical Professor of Physics in Vercelli later in life. Avogadro died on July 9, 1856 in Turin, Italy. He did not live long enough to see the great impact of his discoveries.
